Amarr Hurricane-Rated Garage Doors for South Florida
Every Amarr collection shown below is photographed straight from Amarr’s factory — the exact styles, panel patterns and colors CMC Door Service installs across Miami. No renderings, no stock imagery.
Insulated steel doors built for Miami’s hurricane zone
These seven Amarr collections are regularly specified with WindPro reinforcement for Miami-Dade HVHZ and Broward HVHZ zones. Every one is available with hurricane-rated hardware, heavy-duty struts and Miami-Dade NOA-approved panels.

Heavy-duty insulated steel · Long or short panel
The #1 hurricane-zone choice. Commercial-grade 3-layer steel construction, R-19+ insulation, and WindPro struts rated for Miami-Dade HVHZ as standard.

European-style carriage · Cortona, Lucern, Santiago panels
The designer’s favorite. Carriage-house aesthetic without the wood maintenance. Choose from Cortona, Lucern, Santiago or Tuscany panel patterns. WindPro optional.

Classic short-panel · Flush or short-panel designs
The timeless short-panel design. Amarr’s entry-level insulated steel collection — proven, reliable, and available in WindPro for Miami homes.

Modern flush-panel · Clean, contemporary lines
Flat, uncluttered flush panels for modern and mid-century architecture. Pairs beautifully with linear home designs common in Doral, Aventura and Pinecrest.

Bead-board carriage style · Long or short bead
Premium 3-layer steel with a distinctive bead-board panel face. The upgrade pick when Classica’s budget is tight but you still want character and detail.

Recessed bead-board · Architectural, textured
Recessed bead-board panels create depth and shadow detail. Popular for Mediterranean and Mission-style Miami homes where the door needs to be an architectural feature.

Wood-look steel · Carriage-house aesthetic
Carriage-house curb appeal without the wood rot, termites, or refinishing. 3-layer steel core with faux wood-grain texture. Coral Gables and Miami Beach favorite.
Full-view and wood-grain carriage doors
Not every Amarr door is built the same way. These two specialty collections trade some of the standard WindPro reinforcement for visual impact — full-view glass or real-wood-look carriage framing. We can still specify hurricane-rated hardware and impact glass where Miami-Dade code requires.

Aluminum & glass · Modern full-view panels
The “glass garage door” you see on luxury Miami homes and restaurants. Aluminum frame, full-view glass panels (tinted, frosted, mirrored or clear). Hurricane-rated impact glass is specified per-project for HVHZ installs.

Wood-composite carriage · Arched or square tops
Carriage Court blends real cedar or fiberglass overlay on a steel core. Bradberry, Tanglewood, Arcadia styling. Used for character homes where a traditional steel door would look too plain.
What Miami homeowners actually get with Amarr
Amarr has been manufacturing garage doors in the USA since 1951. Here’s what that matters for your Miami home.
Miami-Dade NOA Approved
Amarr’s WindPro line carries Miami-Dade Notice of Acceptance. Your door passes HVHZ inspection and your insurance gets the wind-mitigation credit.
R-19 Energy-Saver Insulation
Full-thermal-break 3-layer construction keeps the Florida sun out of your garage. Measurable difference for homes with a bedroom or AC condenser above the garage.
Quiet-Door Steel Frame
Amarr’s Quiet Door reinforcement dampens panel rattle and motor vibration. Notably quieter than commodity 2-layer doors when the opener is running.
12+ Factory Colors
Baked-on factory finishes from True White and Almond to Dark Brown, Sandtone and Charcoal. No on-site painting, no fading after a Miami summer.
Lifetime Warranty Available
Amarr’s Platinum warranty covers the hardware, springs and panels for the life of the home on select collections. CMC handles the warranty claim if anything fails.
Made in North Carolina & Indiana
Amarr manufactures in Mocksville (NC) and Lawrenceburg (TN). Parts, panels and warranty support all come from US facilities — no 8-week import waits.
