Leaf weight, width, how many cars a day and whether there is power at the gate. That is all it takes to spec it properly.
Sized to the gate, not the driveway
Swing, slide and the access control behind them
Leaf weight, length and cycles per day decide the operator; everything after that is how people get through. We fit the keypads, readers and telephone entry at the same visit, because a gate somebody has to get out of the car to open is a gate that gets propped open.
Swing: a linear arm along the leaf
The arm runs along the gate rather than out into the driveway, so nothing gets clipped reversing out. Control box, keypad and reader all live on the same board.
Slide: sized to the leaf, not the driveway
Up to about a thousand pounds of leaf with battery backup, which covers the majority of South Florida residential slide gates and light commercial entrances.
Commercial: CSW24UL and up
Heavier leaves, higher duty cycle, and the safety inputs a gated community or a commercial yard has to have. A residential unit on that traffic will not last a season.
The safety inputs are not optional
Photo eyes across the opening and a sensing edge on the leaf, set up so the gate stops for a child or a dog before it touches them. We test them in front of you at handover.

Frequently asked questions
Do you stock LiftMaster parts?
Yes. LiftMaster has the deepest parts availability of any operator brand in South Florida, which is usually why a repair on one finishes the same day rather than waiting on an order.
What size gate will an LA500UL take?
Up to about 18 feet and 700 pounds per leaf, which covers most residential driveway gates and light commercial. Heavier or wider than that and we move you to the CSW24UL.
What makes the commercial units different?
Duty cycle and safety inputs. A CSL24UL or SL3000UL is built to run hundreds of cycles a day and takes loop detectors, card readers and fire department override. A residential unit will not survive that traffic.
Do you service LiftMaster gates you did not install?
Yes. Most of our gate calls are on equipment somebody else fitted.
