Does a solar gate operator actually work in Florida?
Yes, and it is often the cheaper answer. Trenching power out to a gate at the end of a long drive can cost more than the operator, and there is no shortage of sun here. We size the panel and battery to your cycle count.
How many cycles will it run on battery?
It depends on the panel, the battery and how many times a day the gate moves. We work it out from your actual traffic before quoting, rather than quoting a headline number.

Can you convert my existing gate to solar?
Often, yes, if the leaf is within the operator's weight range. We check the hinges and the track first, because solar does not fix a gate that is binding.
