The El Salvador lane we quote is Acajutla, the country's main port on the Pacific coast, with no minimum ocean charge. Coming from Miami, Pacific cargo either transits the Panama Canal or is routed another way, so your forwarder picks the sailing.
Some forwarders land El Salvador cargo at Puerto Cortes in Honduras and truck it across the border instead. If yours prefers that route, tell us and we quote the Puerto Cortes ocean leg; the crates and the paperwork are the same.

On the Pacific side storms bring more water than wind: Tropical Storm Amanda flooded parts of San Salvador in 2020. A galvanized curtain, a good bottom seal and a motor mounted high on the wall stand up to that better than the cheapest option.

Import duty, IVA, customs clearance and delivery from the port are yours, and the Dirección General de Aduanas clears the goods. El Salvador is a CAFTA-DR country, so US made goods can qualify for a reduced or zero duty rate if they meet its rules of origin; ask us for each item's country of origin and let your customs agent confirm what applies.
