Wind rated and impact doors
The doors we install in the Miami-Dade High Velocity Hurricane Zone, shipped with their approval paperwork and design pressure rating.

How it works
How does a freight quote work?
1. Measure
Send the width and height of each opening, the headroom and side room, and whether you want a wind rated or a standard door. A photo of the opening helps.
2. Written quote
We price the doors, the crating and the truck freight to your ZIP on one written quote. The written quote comes by email within one business day, or right away when the doors are in our price book.
3. Crated and shipped
When you approve it, the doors are pulled from stock or made to order, crated on a pallet and sent by LTL freight to your address, or to the carrier's terminal near you if you would rather collect. A big project can go as a full truckload.
4. You or your installer fit it
The door arrives with its hardware and installation instructions, and the wind paperwork when it is rated. Your own installer fits it. We install only in Miami-Dade, Broward and Monroe County.
Wind approval paperwork
What paperwork ships with a wind rated door?
Every wind rated door we ship goes out with its product approval documents and its design pressure rating, the same paperwork we file for permits in the Miami-Dade High Velocity Hurricane Zone. Each model carries a positive and a negative rating in pounds per square foot, up to 72 psf negative on the models we list.
Under the International Residential Code a garage door is tested to ASTM E330 or ANSI/DASMA 108 and carries a permanent label with the maker, the model and its positive and negative design wind pressure. Your building department or engineer compares that rating with the design pressure for your opening and decides whether the door is accepted. Ask them before you order, and send us the pressure if one is specified.

Which openers and accessories can I buy online and have shipped?
These can be bought online: the supply price plus shipping to your zone, from each one's shop page. Doors cannot; they are quoted first. We do not ship online to Alaska, Hawaii or territories.

Can I order a garage door online?
No. Every door is quoted first, in writing, so the size, the wind rating and the freight are right before anything is ordered. Boxed LiftMaster openers and accessories can be bought online and shipped.
How much does freight cost?
Freight is quoted with the door. It depends on where it is going, how many doors, their size and whether they are wind rated, which makes the crate heavier. It shows on your written quote before you commit.
Do wind rated doors come with paperwork?
Yes. Every wind rated door ships with its product approval documents and design pressure rating, and the door carries the maker's label. Your building department or engineer decides what it accepts, so ask before you order.
Do you install outside South Florida?
No. We install only in Miami-Dade, Broward and Monroe County, Florida. Everywhere else the buyer or the buyer's installer fits the door.
How long does it take?
Stock sizes are usually ready in two to three weeks and made to order doors in four to six, before the freight leg. Freight time depends on the distance and the carrier, and we give you the pickup date when the doors are ready.
